Virtual Appointment FAQs

Congratulations for considering or committing to virtual nutrition counseling. We have been counseling patients and doctors for over 30 years and strive to make nutrition a positive rewarding experience for you!  You will learn a lot and hopefully even laugh and be entertained at times.  To get you ready for your virtual appointment with one of our Clinical /Sports Nutritionist/Dietitians.
Here are a few recommendations for the virtual nutrition video meetings.
Our Nutrition sessions review a substantial amount of information, we are Advanced Clinical Sports Nutritionist/Dietitians.  IT IS MUCH BETTER FOR YOU TO ATTEND OUR VIRTUAL NUTRITIONALL SESSIONS ON A COMPUTER RATHER THAN A PHONE.

How do I get into the video meeting?

You will receive an email within 24 hours of scheduling to confirm the virtual appointment date/time. You’ll also receive an email with a link, 48-72 hours before your virtual appointment. Don’t lose this! You will log in by clicking the link and pasting the code given.

What do I do if I have issues getting into the meeting?

You will receive a link with a code in your email. Just click on the link from any browser. You will need to click the audio and video box to turn them on.

If you experience any issues, you can call 954-561-0166. Note that if our line is busy or the office phone goes to voicemail, you can text your dietitian at 5611-929-1488. If you don’t receive a response within 3 minutes, try calling again.

How long will my virtual appointment last?

Changing your lifestyle is a process that cannot be accomplished in one visit. Here is what you can expect:

Initial session (1 hour): You will be receiving specific goals for your first session with about 10-20 foods to eat and food combinations with a shopping list.  2-3 days after each session we will answer any questions you may have over the telephone.

Follow up sessions (30 minutes – 1 hour): Evaluation of education and lifestyle changes. Goal reviewing and setting new goals may be set to continue to achieve your long-term health goal.

What if I can’t find your emails?

CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL! After your initial appointment is confirmed, you will receive two secure forms to your email. They will come from Anderson’s Nutrition. These must be completed 48 hours after your appointment is confirmed and prior to your appointment so that we can have all the information we need to see you. Again, be sure to check your junk mail!

If you cannot find these emails anywhere, please send us a text to 561-929-1488 or call the office phone number 954-561-0166.
